# Connect to a Public Reference Station

When using a public reference station, select the “Use Public ReferenceStation (NTRIP)” tab. An NTRIP Caster takes data from one or more NTRIP Servers and provides this data to one or more NTRIP Clients. The following parameters must be configured to ensure that SpatialLightHouse properly collects data from a public correction network.

| ----------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| NtripCaster | The hostname or IP address of the NTRIP caster.             |
| Port        | The port number of the NTRIP caster, Default value is 2101. |
| Username    | The user name for the NTRIP caster account.                 |
| Password    | The password for the NTRIP caster account.                  |

## Fetch Sources

This will retrieve a list of available streams from the NTRIP caster. A stream is usually a combination of reference station and differential corrections data.
