# Licensing

Certain features in SpatialExplorer 6.X require a valid license to run. SpatialExplorer features additional advanced post processing modules such as LiDARSnap (LiDAR calibration), CameraSnap (camera calibration), and Automated Classification. To access the Licensing utility, navigate to Tools --> Licensing.

If there is no License present, the "Activation Key" field will be empty.

## Activate License

To activate a license, enter the unique alphanumeric key into the "Activation Key" field. Press the "Activate License" radio button to register the key.

A valid internet connection is required to register the key against the PLS License Server. It is not required to use the program once the key has been registered.&#x20;

A message will indicate if the key was successfully activated. If the key was not activated, please contact **<support@phoenixlidar.com>** for assistance.

## Return License

To use the License on another machine, the key must be returned to the PLS License Server and activated on the other machine.

To return the license, click on the "Return License" radio button.
