# Phase One Preprocessing

PhaseOne imagery is collected and stored on an internal storage within the PhaseOne camera.  This data is collected in an .IIQ file format that needs to be processed before use in Spatial Explorer. **IXCapture software** from PhaseOne is required to do so.  

Open IXCapture and move to the 'Processing' tab of the software.  Configure the input and output directories along with the various output parameters.  Ensure the '**Distortion Corrected RGB**' is selected to output images with distortion corrected.

In the right hand window of the 'Processing' tab click the More Options Icon (...) in the calibrations section to **import** the factory provided **PhaseOne calibration**.  This calibration .txt will be provided with your PhaseOne sensor and is the distortion values calculated in the PhaseOne factory for this specific camera.  The file will likely look like "**iXM-100-ML...AUS.txt**". &#x20;

Once these settings are set up and the output directory is specified, click **Start Processing**.

When the pre-processing in IXCapture is completed, visually inspect the images to ensure the output JPEGs are of acceptable quality. &#x20;

Prior to opening this project in Spatial Explorer, **create a Cam0** folder in your mission folder (if not present already) and **move the JPEGs into this folder** so that Spatial Explorer will read the appropriately pre-processed imagery.  Keep the original .IIQ files in a 'raw' or 'archive' folder.
