# Importing Imagery

With the A6K-lite camera, images are stored on the rover's native storage, and when the PLP is opened the images are automatically detected and utilized. The RECON series also stores images natively.

Other cameras, such as the A7R4, A7R2, or any of the Phase One cameras, will store images on their own internal storage, often an SD or XQD card. These images must be moved into the cam0 (or cam1 if you have a multiple camera system) directory prior to processing.

{% hint style="info" %}
SpatialExplorer will create a cache directory containing downsampled thumbnail imagery used for image previews. Depth maps and imagery features will also be stored in the cache directory if produced.
{% endhint %}
