# Configure LiDAR Processing Parameters

Once intervals have been created, LiDAR sensor parameters should be configured.Within the Project window, click on the LiDAR sensor name under [Lidars](https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/lidarmill-desktop/user-interface/windows/project-management-window/lidars), and then click the [wrench icon](https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/lidarmill-desktop/user-interface/windows/project-management-window/lidars/ldr-x).

In the [Processing tab](https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/lidarmill-desktop/user-interface/windows/project-management-window/lidars/ldr-x#processing) of the LiDAR sensor, filters can be configured what LiDAR data is fused to the trajectory:

**FOV** and **Range** are the most commonly adjusted parameters. A 90 degree FOV is typically a good compromise between swath size and quality returns (returns far from nadir are typically noisy). A minimum range can help remove points from aircraft landing gear.
{% endhint %}

**Field of View (FoV) -** Specifies the swath width in degrees centered on vehicle-nadir. (90 degrees is 45 degrees on either side of nadir).

**Minimum and maximum range -** Adjust to eliminate points that are either very close or very far from the sensor.

**Returns to fuse,** **Reflectance,** and **Deviation** are not applicable to all LiDAR scanners. **Reflectance** is a scaled intensity value - very low refelectance values, less than -25 dB, may likely be noise. **Deviation** refers to how much a return waveform shape deviates from an ideal, leptokurtic return shape.

After the intervals and sensor parameters have been adjusted a [cloud can be created](https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/lidarmill-desktop/post-processing/workflow-kk/create-a-cloud).
